Pada tahun 2020 kita akun mulai memasuki era 'free trade' di wilayah Asia dan Pasifik. Pada era ini dibutuhkan para enterpreneur yang mampu menjawab tantangan dan peluang di kawasan ini. Oleh karena itu enterpreneurship (sikap kewirausahaan) perlu dipersiapkan 'proactive' sedini mungkin oleh bangsa Indonesia khususnya pada lembaga pendidikan tinggi. Para ahli ekonomi dan manjemen khususnya telah memberikan informasi tentang pentingnya para enterpreneur ini, misalnya Shumpeter (1934) menyatakan bahwa enterpreneurship is driving force behind economic growth.

Pengaruh Kepribadian Wirausaha, Pengetahuan Kewirausahaan, dan Lingkungan Terhadap Minat Berwirausaha

Abstrak: Pengaruh Kepribadian Wirausaha, Pengetahuan Kewirausahaan, dan Lingkungan terhadap
Minta Berwirausaha Siswa SMK. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengungkapkan pengaruh potensi
kepribadian wirausaha, pengetahuan kewirausahaan, dan lingkungan keluarga terhadap minat
berwirausaha. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan ex post facto. Populasi adalah siswa SMK Rumpun
Pertanian di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Sampel sebanyak 113 responden ditentukan menggunakan
teknik proportional random sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan instrumen angket dan tes. Analisis data
menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensia. Penelitian menunjukkan minat berwirausaha
relatif rendah (48,67%), potensi kepribadian wirausaha memberi pengaruh cukup berarti terhadap minat
berwirausaha (27,3%), pengetahuan kewirausahaan berpengaruh berarti terhadap minat berwirausaha
(13,7%), lingkungan keluarga memberi pengaruh yang berarti terhadap minat berwirausaha (22%).
Terdapat pengaruh secara bersama-sama antara potensi kepribadian wirausaha, pengetahuan
kewirausahaan, dan lingkungan keluarga sebesar 42,2 persen terhadap minat berwirausaha.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship in a Global Economy

Today, innovation and entrepreneurship have changed. There are different ways of
breeding, executing and practicing those concepts around the world. This paper looks at
Drucker’s theory, what’s applicable for today and what is not. The practical reality is
entrepreneurship and innovation are not manifested the same in an international marketplace. In
fact, they are not all systematic as Drucker believed. For example, the U.S. and China have
incubators to breed innovation and entrepreneurship, but they are not practiced similarly.
Likewise, some innovations, like the Internet, are opportunistic and accidental. Originally
developed by DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency as a means to share
information on defense research between involved universities and defense research facilities,
the internet quickly became the World Wide Web.

Strategic Entrepeneurship

Strategic entrepreneurship is a newly recognized field that draws, not surprisingly, from the fields of strategic management and entrepreneurship. The field emerged officially with the 2001 special issue of the Strategic Management Journal on “strategic entrepreneurship”; the first dedicated periodical, the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, appeared in 2007. Strategic entrepreneurship is built around two core ideas. (1) Strategy formulation and execution involves attributes that are fundamentally entrepreneurial, such as alertness, creativity, and judgment, and entrepreneurs try to create and capture value through resource acquisition and competitive positioning. (2) Opportunity-seeking and advantage-seeking — the former the central subject of the entrepreneurship field, the latter the central subject of the strategic management field — are processes that should be considered jointly. This entry explains the specific links between strategy and entrepreneurship, reviews the emergence and development of the strategic entrepreneurship field, and discusses key implications and applications.
